I currently play for another club outside of FC united, but am interested in participating in the FCUDA ID clinics. Am I allowed to participate?

Yes, all players that do not currently play in the Development Academy are eligible and encouraged to participate in our DA ID Clinics by the US Soccer Federation.

I currently play for FC United/Trevians. Do I need to participate in the ID Clinics?

If you would like to be considered for the DA program, we advise you to attend an ID clinic. While our DA coaches will be present at all club tryouts in the spring and are also in constant communication with our Directors/Coaches in all our club programs, the DA ID Clinics are another opportunity to be watched and identified by our DA staff.

What happens after the da id clinics?

You will hear back from our DA Staff about your son/daughter's performance. We will either extend an invite to join our DA, ask the player to return to our club tryouts for another look by our DA staff, or advise the player to remain with their current club in order to continue develop their skills and abilities.

does fc united offer scholarships and/or financial aid?

Yes, FCU offers need-based financial aid.

What happens if my child is not considered ready for the da level, what is the best pathway?

Our DA staff will communicate what they think is the best pathway for your player after the ID Clinics. Our Pre-Academy is the level just before the DA and has a proven track record of growing players and moving them up into the DA. The Pre-Academy season includes mixed-team training with the DA, speed and agility training with our FCU Sports Performance coach, and competing at the highest, non-DA level, through leagues and showcases. Our DA and Pre-Academy coaches are in regular contact to evaluate opportunities for Pre-Academy players to join the DA.

i have another question that is not listed above. who can i contact to learn more about the fc united development academy program?

Please email our DA Director Steve Morris. His email is steve.m@fcuda.com
