Background:

Zach Barnes grew up in Dallas, TX where he played club soccer for the Dallas Texans. He was fortunate to have been in an environment with fantastic coaches and players and was a member of a very successful club team. This allowed him to receive attention from youth national teams, as well as high caliber collegiate programs. He played my college soccer at Creighton University where he studied graphic design. Following a trip to the NCAA College Cup in 2012, his senior season concluded in 2013, afterwhich he was drafted in the third round by D.C United. After moving from team to team on countless trials in search of a professional contract, he returned back to Creighton in 2016 to serve as the Graduate Assistant for the men’s program while studying to get my Masters degree in Organizational Leadership. After graduating with his Master’s Degree, Zach moved to Chicago, where he will be coaching for FC United, as well as serving as the Volunteer Assistant at Loyola University Chicago for the men’s team. He has spent the last two years coaching U8 and U10 boys and girls teams for Council Bluffs Soccer Club. He also holds a National F Coaching License.
